why should our customers listen a sunrise-stream coming in via New York, Frankfurt or Paris?
Nah, the customer doesn't take care how the stream will come to its PC. The rest is question of your network planning and your decision, from where you buy your transit.
As always, you are absolutly free to support a project or not.
