Open-source service enabling platform

hi all, Many of you may already know me as the author of Torrus software (http://torrus.org). Recently I've been thinking of a new software project that would meet desires of many service providers: a universal service enabling platform. This would be a tool to manage various kinds of user subscriptions from a single working place and on a single user database. I'm not sure about anything with this project, so no time schedule, market and budget estimations are done yet. But your thoughts will be appreciated. Hab mal eine ernste Frage betreffend Cablecom und ihren dauernden Störungen Ist es möglich dass die CC ihre Upsteamfrequenz von 27 MHZ auf 23 MHZ gewechselt hat? Das würde die Störungen dauernden Störungen erklären. GPS-Technik AG is looking for a new Senior Network Engineer. We are looking for a candidate with strong organizational skills and deep technology knowledge. Your daily tasks will include leading of a team of system engineers, as well as operation, troubleshooting and support of networks of our customers. Resource and process management are the significant part of the job. You will be able to organize your own work and also manage the resources in your team. The successful candidate will be able to show strong knowledge and experience in the following subjects: * Routing and switching in detail. * IP routing protocols: OSPF and BGP. * Good experience with Cisco routers and switches. * Good knowledge of network monitoring and management technologies. Familiarity with SNMP management tools. * Good knowledge of security technologies. * Advanced UNIX/Linux user: able to configure and operate network management and monitoring software, basic shell or Perl scripting. It will be great to see your experience in the following areas: * DOCSIS network technologies * MPLS * VoIP and IP Telephony Cisco certifications of Professional or Expert level are welcome. Fluent German and English languages are the required. Ability to communicate in French is very much welcome. The candidate should be a Swiss or EU citizen, or have a valid Swiss working permit. Our office is located in Schlieren (ZH). Your work will be mainly in the office, with possible travelling to customer sites. A valid driver license is also essential.
