About international treaties: Thank god the Swiss people have the last word here, too. The government signs a treaty, and the people vote against it? Cancelled! That's why we got to vote about joining the EEA (EEE/EWR), Schengen, the EU, the UN, etc. That's why we got to vote over treaties like the Bilateral Agreements I and II, donating one billion to Eastern Europe, etc. The government would have liked to sign all these treaties, but the people said "yes" to some and "no" to others. That's why often in these treaties I guess the Swiss government puts a phrase like "it will enter into action except if the Swiss people vote against it". Peter -- Psssst! Most recipients are valid. I don't have any message content as this /24 is blocked for good, but it is annoying nethertheless. I've tried to contact abuse(a)jeftexint.com and abuse(a)green.ch without success, I've called them (they referred me to their expensive 0900 hotline and asked me to send a fax) and sent a fax. No response to any of this. Unfortunately they are not listed on major RBLs yet because most of them seem not to accept submissions but rather rely on their own spamtraps. I've done some survey among the DENOG users and found that while some of the users have no hit at all, other destinations are heavily targetted. Users outside of the german speaking area don't seem to be affected at all. I'm trying to find a way to submit them to Spamhaus (which we have a paid feed for), but this might take some time. Is AS21494 known to be irresponsive to abuse complaints? Does anyone know some way to get in contact with them? I'm seriously considering blackholing the whole ASN, but I'm not sure whether this is just a spammerheaven or something important. Any input is appreciated. Which Hosting Pannel can you recommend?

Hi all ScoutNet Switzerland (www.scout.ch) is an association offering hosted services to the swiss guide and scout movement and other scouting groups in switzerland. We have the urgent need to renew our hosting platform. We did try to develop an own environement exactly fitting our needs for the last maybe three years, but we had to conclude this is not possible on voluntary base. Now we want to evaluate which available solutions might cover most of our needs. So SWINOG probably is not the badest place to ask what others use and what the your experiences with the solution your use are. Scale: - About 200 Groups having a website with an own domain. Mostly quite simple things but also some Typo3, Gallery and other resource consuming applications. - Up to 10'000 Email Accounts. Main Needs: - DNS - LAMP Server, preferably running Debian or a derivate. - Mailserver supporting IMAP + SMTP Authentication + Webmail + Listserver like Mailman. - Customer can do most himself. As less as possible support need. - Setting up news Customer without need of root access to the server (preferably via a admin web gui) Would-Be-Nice-To-Haves: - GroupWare like Interoperatibily Tools working cross customer. - Accountancy System - IPv6 - Sendmail/MIMEDefang/SpamAssassin/ClamAV (from my point of view the best combination to flexibly filter emails). - Scalable (control multi phyical servers from one 'admin' instance which could have dedicated funktions or even fail-over ability) So what commercial or non commercial Hosting Pannel Software do you use or do know which would best fit those requirementes? There is money around to buy something if it's realy 'the solution'. Benoit, most of what you requested could be supported with the Plesk platform (www.swsoft.com) There are many companies that offer a shared platform based on this product. You can have your own "reseller" account where you create your domains within certain limits.
