Should not matter, as long as you use port 587 with SMTP-AUTH and TLS. For that matter, one should never do a direct SMTP conversation from a client. Of course you should not do an RBL check on port 587 on the server side... the authentication should take care of that. (And if your silly iDevice does not support SMTP-AUTH, well ask the iCompany that you paid all that money to for iSupport, they'll probably answer that you should download more iGames from the iStore though) Now the fun detail of course is why their Port 25 inspection does happen on DSL (even though they have never officially told this to any customer by sending them an email or a letter that they changed this and are thus snooping people's email). And the next fun detail is why they don't catch the customers who are sending over Port 25 from registered GPRS accounts. Greets, Jeroen

Hello [193.247.250.7 listed in dnsbl-1.uceprotect.net] [Blocked - see <http://www.spamcop.net/bl.shtml?193.247.250.7>] [193.247.250.7 listed in cbl.abuseat.org] I suppose I'm not the only one constantly getting customers complaints about email from mobile devices getting flagged as spam because the swisscom gprs ip addresses can be constantly found in various blacklists. According to my last contact with the swisscom abuse desk about that issue is that they need to know time, ip and port number from which the email arrived. So I want to share my 'sendmail' config to enable getting the port added in the email headers: define(`confRECEIVED_HEADER',`$?sfrom $s $.$?_($?s$|from $.$_ Port: ${client_port}) $.$?{auth_type}(authenticated) $.by $j ($v/$Z)$?r with $r$. id $i$?u for $u; $|; $.$b')dnl dnl will get you a Received: header which when submitted via spamassassin or similar, makes it possible for swisscom to find their infected customers. KSK CEREMONY 4 The fourth KSK ceremony for the root zone will take place in El Segundo, CA, USA on Monday 2011-02-07. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 1300 local time (1700 UTC) and is expected to end by 1900 local time (2300 UTC). Video from Ceremony 4 will be recorded for audit purposes. Video and associated audit materials will be published 1 to 2 weeks after the ceremony, and will be available as usual by following the "KSK Ceremony Materials" link at <https://www.iana.org/dnssec/>. ICANN will operate a separate camera whose video will not be retained for audit purposes, but which will instead be streamed live in order to provide remote observers an opportunity to watch the ceremony. The live stream will be provided on a best-effort basis. The live video stream will be available at <http://dns.icann.org/ksk/stream/>. Ceremony 4 will include processing of a Key Signing Request (KSR) generated by VeriSign, and the resulting Signed Key Response (SKR) will contain signatures for Q2 2011, for use in the root zone between 2011-04-01 and 2011-07-05. Dringend Cisco Router

Hallo! ich bin sehr dringend auf der Suche nach einem Cisco 7204/6 VXR oder 7301 Router mit einer npe-400 oder npe-G1/G2 eventuell auch ASR Modell. Leider ist unser Router kaputt gegangen und wir haben keinen Ersatzrouter. Der Router wird sofort abgeholt und bar bezahlt. Gruss Christian cm(a)bevtec.ch

ASR 9k zum ausprobieren ?

Hallo Listen, (Sorry für den Doppelpost) Hat von euch jemand schon ASR 9k im Einsatz und kann mir evtl. kurzfristig weiterhelfen? Und zwar bin ich interessiert an folgenden Fragen: - Funktionieren 10GE Menara XFPs ? - Funktionieren 100MBit/s SFPs in den GE Ports ? Laut Cisco [0] ja, hat das schon jemand in der Realität gesehen ? Evtl. sogar mit Drittanbietern ? Falls Ihr solche Optiken nicht habt, aber einen spare-Router und es möglich ist, würde ich gerne vorbeikommen und die Optiken testen (am besten in erreichbarer Nähe zu Stuttgart/Süddeutschland :)). - Kann jemand etwas zu reflexiven ACLs sagen ? Bei einigen GE/FE Kunden lässt sich das nicht vermeiden (tja, Pech). Und bevor wir weitere/andere Aggregations-Router planen, wäre interessant, ob man ein paar Ports mit kleineren Bandbreiten (FE? mehrere 100Mbit/s?) auf dem ASR 9k mit reflexiven ACLs fahren kann. Es müsste auch nicht der gesamte Traffic in die reflexive ACLs laufen... Merci und Grüße, Tim Kleefass
