.ch and .li delegation problems

Hi there Just for your info: The root-servers for .ch and .li zones do currently *not* carry the same nameserver addresses as on the whois. For example: Whois for domain XXXXXX.ch: dns1.mhs.ch; dns2.mhs.ch; dns3.mhs.ch (since thursday) Nslookup at f.nic.ch: linus.ideso.ch; neptun.ideso.ch (was valid until wednesday) It's confirmed by switch personnell, that there's a problem with the zonefiles, they are working on it. So, please don't be surprised if nameserver changes that were made since yesterday morning, show no effect on the DNS. Extreme Networks ESRP

Hello List, I stuck with a problem on a Extreme Networks Feature. Have we some Extreme Networks specialists here ? I try to connect two Extreme Switches together and activate the ESRP (Extreme Standby Router Protocol) Feature. It is a very nice feature and it works of course. But the main problem if one node dies the other systems goes into neutral mode. And not in master mode ...strange maybe i have missed something... KSK CEREMONY 5 The fifth KSK ceremony for the root zone took place in Culpeper, VA, USA on Wednesday 2011-05-11. The Ceremony Administrator was Mehmet Akcin. The ceremony was completed successfully. Video from Ceremony 5 was recorded for audit purposes. Video and associated audit materials will be published in 1 to 2 weeks, and will be available as usual by following the "KSK Ceremony Materials" link at <https://www.iana.org/dnssec/>. Ceremony 5 included processing of a Key Signing Request (KSR) generated by VeriSign, and the resulting Signed Key Response (SKR) contains signatures for Q3 2011. Hi, Another thing to defend incoming viruses is to use greylising (what you should do anyway :-)). Greylisting catches mostly every virus mail sent out of bot nets (that's where viruses usually come from). looking for a company which can offer bodyleasing

Virtualization for Webhosters / OpenVZ

Hi As a small web hosting provider we are planning to switch from physical-only servers to virtualization. So far, our favorite virtualization platform is OpenVZ under Debian Squeeze. We might consider running Proxmox as host system but prefer sticking with plain Debian (even though the future of the OpenVZ-kernel is not guaranteed). Our main goals: hardware independency, reliability, maintenance (single kernel virtualization), power efficiency (reduce number of physical servers), cost. We're looking for a Swiss hosting provider who is actively using such a single kernel virtualization technology. What's your experience with OpenVZ? How about resource separation of containers (VPS)? Have you got any experience running complete containers off a NFS-mounted NAS/SAN? How about performance in a web hosting environment with resource peaks on various servers? We would greatly appreciate if anybody could share his experience with OpenVZ (or similar single-kernel virtualization) and get in touch with us for some consulting. Thanks.
