Hey all A friend just told me that Cybernet told him there is a Switzerlandwide Internet Problem. Does anybody know something? using Git as a database back-end

hi all, I'm preparing a new release of Torrus software, and it will replace BerkeleyDB back-end with Git. It appears that libgit2 provides a new, a bit tricky in learning, but very efficient object storage, and change tracking is available out of the box. In general, you can read and write your data objects directly in the Git repository, without the need of checking in and out the files in your filesystem. Also the objects can be automatically compacted, and that allows storing millions of objects without too much load on the filesystem resources and inode count. Of course it's not a fully blown database, and not even something like MongoDB, but it really is usable and convenient for document storage systems. New nameserver for LI/CH

Hi SwiNOG We would like to inform you about a new nameserver in the the .LI and .CH zones. g.nic.ch / g.nic.li is anycasted in over 40 locations worldwide, including Zurich. It is operated by CommunityDNS and hosts various other TLDs as well. UPC Mailservers problems with greylisting

Hi We are seeing problems with greylisting in mails coming from UPC mailservers. After receiving our "451 Greylisting" response, we never see a retry of the mail again. The sender does not receive an NDR. We have seen this behaviour from the servers at 84.116.36.xxx. Other servers for example the ones in the range 62.179.121.xxx are retrying correctly. Anybody from UPC here to help sort this out or is anyone else seeing the same problem or is no one using greylisting anymore these days?
